Some members of York Light Orchestra also play in the York Concert Band. The Band is performing a 'Harvest Harmonies' concert at 7.30pm on 11 October 2025, at York Citadel. There's more information in the poster and on the Band's Facebook page. Attachment:

The orchestra will play an evening concert at St Chad's church in York on Saturday 25 April 2026. We'll post more details when we have them.

The orchestra will perform two concerts before the end of 2025:
- a private event on 27 November
- a public concert on 18 December, at Acomb Methodist Church.
We'll post more details of the 18 Dec concert once we've finalised them.
- York Beethoven Project - next performance 27 Sep 2025

Several of the orchestra's members are taking part in the York Beethoven Project. This is a 4 year project to play all the Beethoven Symphonies in local venues, culminating with a performance of the epic 9th Symphony (Choral) in Spring 2027 which will be the bi-centenary of Beethoven’s Death.
The next event is a performance of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony (his 6th) in Selby Abbey on Saturday 27 September 2025. Click here for more details.
